The CBSE has issued a public notice that the CBSE will conduct the next UGC NET/JRF on 5th November 2017 at various exam centres spread across in India. The CBSE has also added an additional information in the notification that, the detailed information regarding the UGC NET exam will be placed in the notification and it is to be published on July 2017.
UGC Net Exam (5th November 2017) Notification is displayed through its official website http://cbsenet.nic.in on July' 2017. After the UGC NET notification published through the official site of CBSE, Candidates whoever have wanted to apply for the UGC NET exam can apply online by filling and submitting online application form through their official site of CBSE. Few days after the last date to apply online application form, the Admit Cards will be issued by the CBSE through its official site to all the candidates as Hall Tickets for the UGC NET 5th November 2017 Exam. The Answer Keys of all the UGC NET subjects for the Net November 2017 exam will be published officially through its site after challenging the Answer keys with candidates.

About UGC:-
The Government of India had decided that all cases pertaining to the allocation of grants-in-aid from public funds to the Central Universities and other Universities and Colleges of higher learning must be given into the University Grants Commission. However, the UGC has been formally established by the government of India on November 1956 as a statutory body of the Government of India through an Act of Parliament for maintain a better coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of education ( universities and institutions ) in India.
Initially, the UGC itself had conducted the UGC NET/JRF exam twice in every year for the Indians, for keeping the minimum eligibility to work as Assistant Professors in Universities and Colleges in India. Now, as per the notification of UGC (on behalf of UGC) the UGC NET/JRF exam has been conducted by the CBSE (central Board of Secondary Education) twice in every year for the Indian Citizens only.
The CBSE UGC NET/JRF exam includes three papers namely Paper-I, Paper-II, Paper-III. All the three papers have to include only objective type questions.
As per the UGC NET notification of CBSE, Paper-I will be of General basic concepts, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It has primarily been designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. There are Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each and the candidates are need to answer any fifty (50). If the candidates are attempting more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted by the candidate will be evaluated.
As per the UGC NET notification of CBSE, Paper-II should contain 50 objective type questions from the subject selected by the candidate and all questions are compulsory. 2 marks are given to each question.
As per the UGC NET notification of CBSE, Paper-III should contain 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. 2 marks are given to each question.

The NET/JRF candidates have to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet to be provided along with the Test Booklet. The detailed instructions for filling up the OMR Sheet can be had by uploading it from the UGC site ( www.ugc.ac.in ) in the last week of previous month of test date. It is to be noted that, instructions to candidates will not be sent to the candidate by post.
How the CBSE is to Calculate the UGC NET November 2017 Exams Answers and RESULT
The
candidates must obtain following minimum marks separately in
Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:

Step I: A merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates from among the candidates who have cleared step I .
Step II: Top 15% candidates (for each subject-wise and category-wise) will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor from the merit list mentioned under step II, .
Step III: A separate meritorious candidates list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates in the merit list prepared under step III.
The qualifying criteria has been decided by the UGC is final and binding. In case of any discrepancy found in the English and Hindi versions, the questions in English version will be taken as final.
